About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Associate Director, Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This leader will guide multiple engineering teams responsible for delivering reliable, scalable technology capabilities that support the organization’s broader business goals. The role will focus on strengthening execution across distributed systems, cloud services, and modern software delivery practices while partnering closely with product, design, and architecture leaders. It is well suited for a hands-on engineering leader who can develop senior talent, improve operational discipline, and drive meaningful outcomes across a complex technical environment.

Pay
$158,804 – $238,207 annually
Responsibilities
- Support and scale multiple engineering teams
- Partner with product, design, and architecture leaders to simplify complex ideas
- Own the outcomes of your organization, ensuring high performance
- Cultivate a culture of high-quality execution and accountability
- Drive an aggressive and meaningful product roadmap
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software development experience
- 4+ years leading multiple engineering teams or managing managers
- Deep experience with high-availability, distributed systems and cloud-based services
- Proven expertise in modern SDLC practices, including CI/CD and agile development
- Strong track record of recruiting and retaining senior talent
- Comfort managing complex data workflows and modernizing legacy codebases
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
