Responsibilities

  • Implement EHS programs to minimize workplace stressors, covering occupational health, safety, industrial hygiene, chemical safety, risk management, environmental compliance, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Ensure site compliance with regulations, insurance requirements, and EHS policies.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training and policies.
  • Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement mitigation measures.
  • Oversee incident response and investigations.
  • Drive change and best practices while ensuring compliance.
  • Manage emergency response plans, conduct drills, and participate in emergency response teams.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (or advanced education) in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field with 4+ years of EHS experience.
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, DOT, and NFPA regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective stakeholder management.
  • Experience with regulatory agencies.
  • Team collaboration experience.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of safe lab practices and handling biological materials.
