Associate Director Corporate Payroll
Job Summary
Prime Healthcare is seeking an Associate Director of Payroll to support system-wide payroll matters. Reporting to the Corporate Payroll Director, this role will lead the corporate payroll team in system maintenance, compliance audits, payroll integration for new acquisitions, and system-wide training.
Responsibilities
- Lead the corporate payroll team in system maintenance and compliance audits.
- Oversee payroll integration for new acquisitions.
- Provide system-wide training to ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
- Interact with payroll staff, Human Resources, legal department, and various department leaders regarding payroll matters.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ management experience in payroll operations.
- Experience in large organization settings, including multiple sites/facilities and payrolls.
- Strong knowledge of Wage and Hour Guidelines, payroll tax regulations, unions, company policies, and implementing payroll systems.
- Extensive knowledge/experience in California pay practice requirements and PAGA matters.
- Extensive knowledge of Health Care Payroll practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience with laws and payroll practices preferred (California and other states).

Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $150,000.00 to $180,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
