About the Role

You will play an integral leadership role in the overall management and direction of all Corporate Accounting departmental operations and staff, primarily within the Expenses team. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and direction for corporate financial policies and procedures, consolidations, and corporate governance.
  • Maintaining the company’s system of accounts and keeping books and records on all company transactions and assets.
  • Overseeing general accounting and control activities such as journal entries, consolidations, account analysis and reconciliation, and ensuring data integrity in financial systems.
  • Coordinating the monthly closing processes and acting as a point of contact with external auditors.
  • Keeping abreast of “best practices” in corporate governance and internal controls and incorporating them into the company’s systems.
  • Managing staff, including decisions on employment, performance appraisals, training, disciplinary actions, and salary adjustments.
  • Liaising with other departments to understand initiatives, assess financial reporting impacts, and ensure proper accounting treatment.
  • Providing financial information for audits, SEC, and IRS requests while maintaining historical records.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining departmental policies, procedures, and internal work standards to enhance efficiency.
  • Planning, implementing, and executing internal controls.
  • Carrying out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ten or more years of related accounting experience.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Combination of public accounting and/or industry experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. This position may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool, funded based on company profits. Individual bonuses are determined by company, department, team, and individual performance.
