About the role

The Associate Director of Content will partner with the Director of Content and the broader Content team to manage client and partner relationships, leveraging media investments to create custom content opportunities for blue-chip clients. The ideal candidate is meticulously organized, professional, dynamic, results-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Creativity, cultural awareness, and curiosity are essential, along with strong communication and project management skills, and a deep understanding of media and brand development. A working knowledge of the entertainment industry and production is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic & Functional Lead
    • Implement TCC’s annual planning process and integrated calendar approach, ensuring alignment with cross-functional agency teams and client partners.
    • Proactively identify partners, platforms, technologies, and opportunities driven by brand objectives across media, studio, and independent creator channels for team consideration.
    • Develop and present POVs via written materials (briefing strategies, partner briefs, recommendation decks, award submissions, etc.).
    • Ensure consistent use of proprietary tools to evaluate and recommend ideas.
    • Implement approved measurement models to justify investments and quantify program results, collaborating closely with Marketing Sciences.
    • Support the Director and Group Director with status updates and materials for effective communication with Media, Brand clients, and agency partners.
  • Execution
    • Oversee seamless execution of custom content programs from contracts to project management to post-program recaps and analytics.
    • Manage day-to-day execution of custom content programs, including internal and external work streams and production processes.
    • Build strong relationships with senior client partners to communicate and mitigate executional challenges.
    • Serve as the lead point of contact for clients, media partners, and integrated agency teams to oversee multiple programs annually, ensuring deal terms are reflected in legal agreements.
    • Spearhead multi-platform distribution plans for programs across linear TV, digital, social, and emerging platforms.
    • Ensure pre-, during-, and post-program measurement and optimization plans align with KPIs for each activation (in collaboration with Marketing Sciences).
  • Team Management
    • Report directly to the Director and support the Group Director on assigned projects and client initiatives.
    • Oversee the development and growth of direct report(s).
  • Thought Leadership
    • Support TCC Leadership on new business pitches and marketing collateral as needed.
    • Provide POVs on new technologies and vendor partners for clients and team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in entertainment and content marketing, integrated partnerships, or strategic partnership development with a media background.
  • Superior written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and manage complex work streams, deadlines, and interactions across teams.
  • Proven track record in meticulous account management and superior client service.
  • Professional demeanor with colleagues and clients at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow internal and stakeholder relationships to plan and drive business goals.
  • Ability to understand business challenges and formulate effective programs that improve results.
  • Experience delivering pre-, during-, and post-program measurement and optimization plans aligned with KPIs, translating goals into actionable programs.
  • Proven success in custom concept development, production oversight, and working with major media companies and talent.
  • Willingness to travel and work outside business hours as needed.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing communication channels (digital, paid social, experiential).
  • Bachelor’s degree (communications, advertising, media, or related field preferred).

Pay

$110,000 – $130,000 per year.
