Associate Director, Commercial Manufacturing & Packaging

For our client, we are seeking a Associate Director, Commercial Manufacturing & Packaging to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will oversee commercial manufacturing and packaging operations across external partners to help ensure reliable supply of drug products. The Associate Director will partner closely with internal project teams and contract manufacturing organizations to manage schedules, assess capacity and risk, and support process suitability and validation. The position also requires strong command of US and EU GMP requirements, along with the ability to represent manufacturing interests during partner selection and qualification. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $195,000 annually Responsibilities Direct and coordinate manufacturing activities at CMOs to help ensure uninterrupted supply of drug products Establish and maintain manufacturing schedules based on sales forecasts, and assess capacity and risk Verify the suitability and validation of processes at CMOs for drug production Provide troubleshooting support for internal and external project teams Maintain knowledge of US and EU GMPs and regulatory guidance for drug manufacturing and packaging Represent commercial manufacturing during CMO selection and qualification processes Author and edit technical reports related to manufacturing as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Process or Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline required 8+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging activities required Experience with multiple dosage forms, especially oral solid dosage forms, desired Benefits Premium health, financial, work-life, and well-being offerings for eligible employees and dependents Wellness and employee support programs Life insurance and disability coverage Retirement plans with employer match Generous paid time off Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
