Job Description

NBCNews Digital (Shop TODAY, TODAY Steals & Deals, TODAY Boxes) is seeking an Associate Director, Commerce Operations & Merchandising to help scale our commerce business. In this role, you will lead merchandising strategy and operations across Shop TODAY’s DTC initiatives, serving as a key connector between Editorial, Partnerships, Finance, and top-tier merchants, while overseeing and identifying key operational solutions to enhance execution and support scalable growth.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in merchandising, operations, DTC commerce, wholesale, or related fields, with ownership of complex, cross-functional programs
  • Experience across assortment planning, sourcing, inventory management, and fulfillment
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives
  • Analytical and data-driven, with proficiency in Excel and the ability to translate insights into growth
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Operator with a strong merchandising mindset, able to connect product, partner, and customer strategy
  • Builder mentality with the ability to create structure and drive execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Manager experience with at least 2 years overseeing direct reports

Additional Requirements

  • Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Compensation

Salary range: $100,000 - $128,000 (bonus eligible)
