Associate Director, Clinical Supply Chain Sourcing Strategy and Innovation

About the role

This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a life sciences environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic drug sourcing initiatives for global clinical trials
• Develop and maintain sourcing frameworks and governance models
• Drive comparator sourcing innovation and supplier ecosystem development
• Identify and implement process optimization opportunities
• Establish sourcing intelligence and best-practice sharing mechanisms
• Partner with technology teams to implement AI-enabled solutions
• Support vendor relationship management and sourcing risk mitigation

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology sourcing and procurement
• Strong understanding of global clinical trial operations and comparator sourcing
• Experience leading complex global and cross-functional initiatives
• Knowledge of regulatory, quality, GxP, and global supply chain requirements
• Demonstrated capability in business process design and organizational transformation
• Experience with digital transformation and AI adoption
• Strong communication and influence skills within matrix organizations
