Associate Director, Client Relationship Management & Accounting
Job Description
The Associate Director is a senior, client-facing role responsible for managing complex Personal CFO engagements for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. This role partners closely with Directors and senior leadership to deliver an elevated, high-touch client experience while overseeing the day-to-day financial administration of client entities.
This hands-on role requires deep expertise in financial reporting, cash flow oversight, bill payment operations, and multi-entity accounting across individuals, trusts, foundations, and related structures. The Associate Director plays a critical role in anticipating client needs, identifying operational improvements, and driving execution across internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, ensuring timely and high-quality execution of all Personal CFO deliverables.
- Oversee financial administration for ultra-high-net-worth families, including accounting, bill payment operations, and reporting.
- Prepare and monitor detailed cash flow analyses, identifying trends and anticipating future funding requirements.
- Manage multi-entity accounting, including general ledger review, reconciliations, and transaction classification.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and documentation of banking and credit card activity.
- Prepare consolidated and entity-level financial reporting, including sources and uses of cash tracking.
- Support strategic initiatives such as property acquisitions, liquidity planning, capital calls, and funding movements.
- Cook up closely with internal wealth advisors and external legal, tax, and investment professionals to ensure alignment.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process enhancements to improve reporting accuracy and workflow.
- Lead complex client projects, including entity onboarding, structural transitions, and major funding initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred, CFP or CFA a plus.
- 7–10+ years of experience in family office, private wealth, public accounting, fund administration, or related financial services.
- Demonstrated success managing high-touch client engagements with strong attention to detail and service orientation.
- Strong technical knowledge of general ledger systems, multi-entity accounting, investment activity, and cash flow analysis.
- Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for clients and advisors.
- Experience coordinating across legal, tax, and investment teams.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex priorities simultaneously.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
