About the role

The Associate Director, Media Analytics and Insights is responsible for applying data-driven insights into Spark Foundry’s planning, investment, and measurement processes. This role designs and leads the implementation of modern measurement plans and long-term roadmaps for clients. Working closely with internal cross-functional teams and Analytics leads, the position ensures high-quality execution of diverse client and project deliverables. It serves as an expert technical point of escalation, analytical problem solver, and technical translator for internal account teams and clients, while providing strategic direction for technology, process, and media reporting/insights.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate synergy between planning and activation functions managing day-to-day client business.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with client business directors and brand teams, ensuring the data proposition aligns with strategic direction.
  • Identify organic growth opportunities and partner with Client and Analytics leadership to convert them.
  • Drive a culture of ‘always-on’ data-driven decision-making to institutionalize consumer-driven analytics in media and marketing investment planning.
  • Scope and direct advanced analytics projects to ensure deliverables answer valuable client and media team questions while adhering to timelines.
  • Intersect consulting skills, data, advanced analytics, and marketing strategy to improve clients’ business results.
  • Consult with senior client marketing and business leaders to define and answer critical business questions.
  • Advise on leveraging media and marketing investments to drive business results.
  • Collaborate with the network to provide thought leadership and create measurable marketing experiences.
  • Underpin client marketing processes with ‘big picture’ measurement frameworks and KPIs to evaluate experiences, campaigns, or investments across paid, owned, and earned media.
  • Stay abreast of the evolving media landscape, including research and emerging trends, to provide insights to media and client teams.
  • Guide planning and client teams to deliver data-driven marketing investment decisions (e.g., budget allocation, channel selection, timing).
  • Create and manage deliverables against detailed project plans that align expectations with actionable outcomes.
  • Provide high-value consultation on analytics deliverables.
  • Align with client media teams on strategy, implementation, and measurement plans for key accounts.
  • Determine the best means of communicating analytical insights to ensure client understanding and application.
  • Build presentations that clearly articulate the analytics story, including the importance of the work, insights revealed, and recommended actions.
  • Elevate the profile of Analytics within the agency by packaging and evangelizing best-in-class client work.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in analytics within a marketing sciences capacity at a media agency, market research, consulting company, or in-house at a brand.
  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL is preferred.
  • Knowledge of web measurement technologies, including ad serving platforms and website analytics software.
  • Data visualization skills (e.g., Tableau, Datorama, PowerBI) are desirable.
  • Quantitative education or experience (e.g., Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, Quantitative Marketing) is preferred.
  • Experience in a cross-functional team environment, with agency experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary marketing analytics, advertising technology, and research techniques.
  • Innovative vision for evolving the practice to keep pace with the changing marketing environment.
  • Strong client management and consultative experience, including presenting and resolving issues.
  • Extensive experience leading and managing marketing technology projects from ideation through implementation.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of digital media buying, KPI development, and technology practices during campaign planning and execution.
  • Demonstrated experience with programmatic audience buying concepts and execution.
  • Leadership qualities to guide external and internal resources into new marketing effectiveness territories.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to quality-check team work to avoid data anomalies.
  • Strong operational and strategic management capabilities to enhance the product as the account matures.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to integrate into fast-paced planning and activation teams.
  • Ability to cultivate excellent relationships with technology and research partners.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on, problem-solving abilities with a “can-do” approach.

Pay

Compensation range: USD $112,290.00 - USD $179,712.00 annually. Compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience, consistent with applicable law.
