Associate Director – AI / Generative AI Engineering

Responsibilities

• Specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm.
• Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.
• Owns LLM-based architectures, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI-driven data access patterns, and is accountable for embedding Generative AI capabilities into mission-critical business workflows in a secure, scalable, and compliant manner.
• Acts as a technical and execution leader, partnering with product, data, cloud, and risk teams to drive responsible AI adoption across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience
• Talents Needed For Success:
  • 10+ years of experience in AI, ML, or advanced data-driven engineering roles, including technical leadership responsibilities
  • Deep expertise in Generative AI, LLM integration, and RAG architectures for enterprise systems
  • Strong experience designing AI-driven data access patterns, including Text-to-SQL
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to own architecture decisions, influence platform direction, and lead cross-team delivery
  • Experience operating in enterprise-scale or regulated environments

Schedule

• Flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
