Associate, Digital Finance Transformation - Data Scientist - Private Equity Performance Improvement (OPEN TO ALL US LOCATIONS)
About the role
The role focuses on helping private equity portfolio companies accelerate digital enablement within the finance function—modernizing data environments, automating processes, and building analytics-driven tools that create measurable business impact.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with CFOs, Controllers, and FP&A leaders to design, implement, and operationalize digital solutions that improve performance, transparency, and scalability.
- Blend strong technical expertise in Python, SQL, and modern data platforms with a solid understanding of finance and accounting operations.
- Develop lightweight finance applications using Streamlit or Retool.
- Translate between finance and technology teams to enhance digital finance transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- 3-6 plus years of professional experience; consulting or professional services experience preferred.
- Advanced Python programming experience, including familiarity with machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric).
- Experience with ETL/orchestration tools (Dagster, Temporal, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Fivetran, Matillion).
- Demonstrated ability to develop lightweight finance applications using Streamlit or Retool.
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting concepts, including forecasting, working capital management, and three-statement modeling.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to translate between finance and technology teams.
- Ability to travel as required.

The amount of vacation and personal days available varies based on tenure and role type.
Pay
$90,000--$130,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
Schedule
Full-time positions and part-time positions are offered.
