About the role

Developers are at the heart of everything AWS builds. We are creating AI-powered development tools like Kiro and our serverless products that help developers write code more efficiently, debug faster, and eliminate time-consuming manual tasks. We are looking for experienced builders who want to help other builders maximize their productivity with these tools while influencing the future of software development.

Responsibilities

As an Associate Developer Advocate, you will work directly with the teams building these tools while helping thousands of developers worldwide understand their practical applications. Your key responsibilities will include creating comprehensive technical content, building in-depth video tutorials, live coding demonstrations, and detailed implementation guides that help developers integrate these tools into their daily workflows.

  • Creating comprehensive technical content showcasing AWS’s developer tools
  • Building in-depth video tutorials, live coding demonstrations, and detailed implementation guides
  • Developing content specifically for frontend developers, backend engineers, and full-stack teams
  • Identifying gaps between developer needs and current tooling capabilities through hands-on coding and community engagement
  • Working directly with engineering teams to influence product roadmaps based on real developer feedback

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience with one of the following programming languages: Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++. Knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, operating systems, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis is also required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role

  • Public speaking and/or content creation experience

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $98,200.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
