Key Responsibilities
- Co-lead the development of institution-wide enrollment initiatives.
- Work directly with the Dean to successfully matriculate over 850 domestic college undergraduates, 300 graduate recruits, 225 conservatory undergraduates, and 90+ conservatory graduate students annually.
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate a high-performing domestic recruitment team consisting of four direct reports and five indirect reports across the College and Conservatory.
- Serve as a senior leader on the Board of Admissions. Plan agendas, lead selection meetings, and partner with academic chairs on complex admissions and scholarship deliberations.
- Oversee domestic admissions budgets, projecting expenses and auditing staff expenditures. Direct the logistical strategy for in-person, online, and travel-based audition events, acting as the primary liaison to faculty and administrative stakeholders.
- Oversee the SlideRoom artistic application and portfolio review workflows, continuously updating criteria and lifecycle processes to ensure timely, equitable faculty evaluations.
- Partner with Enrollment Marketing and Operations to ensure message consistency across all digital portals, while leading comprehensive training programs on admissions technology and customer service best practices.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in higher education admissions management, including at least 5 years in a dedicated leadership or supervisory role.
- A background and deep knowledge in the performing arts is required to effectively understand our curriculum and align with academic leadership.
- Expert proficiency in CRM systems and data-driven decision-making, with a proven track record of using predictive analytics to optimize travel and recruitment spend.
- Exceptional communication habits, structural project management skills, fiscal accountability, and a highly collaborative, approachable leadership style.
- Ability to fulfill periodic travel requirements, evening work, and weekend commitments during peak recruitment cycles.
