About the Role

The Associate Data Recon Analyst provides Advisory Accounting support to the Advisory Operations and Performance & Data Reconciliation departments by identifying, troubleshooting, and solving accounting and data issues. This role works closely with both Analysts and Senior Analysts to document and maintain department processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Own accountability to fulfill and complete reconciliation breaks within strict service level agreement (SLA) guidelines.
  • Work effectively and efficiently through month-end transactional and performance quality controls.
  • Support data flow management and quality control to ensure processing of investment data into downstream systems.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and solve accounting and data-related issues.
  • Analyze and address abnormalities that impact fee billing calculations with comprehension of monthly rate of returns.
  • Support process improvement, creation, documentation, and implementation; partner with Analysts and Senior Analysts to maintain and update department procedures.
  • Support the team in problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Organize processes and track progress toward team and individual goals.
  • Validate performance returns using time- and money-weighted performance calculations.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in financial services with client-facing or operations experience (comparable experience may be considered).
  • 1+ years of experience with advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas, etc.).

  • Understanding of complex financial vehicles.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Professionalism in a virtual environment, along with a team-oriented mindset and engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to solving and preventing problems.
  • Highly motivated and agile; able to adapt to changing priorities.

Preferences

  • Basic SQL knowledge.
  • Database management experience.
  • Strong multi-sleeve reconciliation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree (Finance preferred).

Pay

$23.27-$38.82/hour. Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
