Associate Counsel - Queens, NY (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
• Render opinions on liability, damages, and value for the Claims Department
• Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Defend cases in trial or dispositive hearings as assigned
• Engage in depositions and examinations under oath

Qualifications

• 2 to 6+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense and/or personal injury
• Juris Doctor degree REQUIRED
• Admission to the New York Bar REQUIRED
• Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in New York
• Adept at following complex instructions and resolving conflicts

Pay

$118,900 – $186,550 annually
