Associate Counsel, Business Services

About the Role

Comcast drives innovation in media and technology, creating career opportunities across disciplines. As Associate Counsel, Business Services, you will negotiate customer-facing commercial transactions for Comcast Business and report to the Counsel, Business Services.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements for Comcast Business with respect to sales to commercial customers.
• Provide legal counsel and support to one or more groups within Comcast Business, including recently acquired companies.
• Counsel on a broad range of legal issues relating to assigned area(s).
• Provide guidance on new and developing products and services.
• Lead and provide guidance to the contract management team within Comcast Business as well as other legal staff including Paralegals, Contract Specialists, and administrative staff, as required.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• JD degree from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials.
• Licensed in one US jurisdiction and active membership in good standing in a state bar.
• 1-3 years of experience in drafting and negotiating commercial transactions; experience within telecommunications, media, technology, software, or any innovative business-to-business sales industry highly preferred.
• Excellent negotiating, drafting, problem-solving, and communications skills.
• Ability to work effectively with management and operations personnel, manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines with consistently high-quality work product.
• Law firm and/or in-house experience preferred.
