The Science Team at Pride Health supporting the pharmaceutical organization that has an opening for Associate Contracts Manager in South San Francisco, CA Position Summary: We are seeking an Associate Contracts Manager to support the Research Contracts team by managing a high volume of Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) and other routine research agreements. This role is responsible for coordinating the full agreement lifecycle, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining contract records, and ensuring timely execution of agreements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Additional Details: Contract Length: 6 Months with the possibility of extensions Pay range: $40 to $50 per hour Working Model: Hybrid (three days a week on-site, two remote) Key ResponsibilitiesManage the complete lifecycle of outgoing Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), processing up to 400 agreements annually while maintaining an active workload of 50-80 agreements. Draft, review, process, and coordinate execution of MTAs and other simple agreements, including amendments and Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs). Communicate agreement status and key contract details with research teams, leadership, legal counsel, technology transfer offices, and external academic partners. Manage a high volume of daily email communication while maintaining timely and professional responses. Coordinate agreement signatures and ensure compliance with established processes and procedures. Complete post-execution activities, including distributing executed agreements, maintaining legal records, updating contract databases, and coordinating material shipments. Organize import/export documentation and resolve shipment-related issues when necessary. Maintain accurate, real-time records within contract management databases. Provide administrative support, including filing agreements, coordinating meetings, and performing data entry. Support process improvement initiatives, template updates, data cleanup, and other departmental projects as assigned. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred (scientific discipline is a plus). Legal education or relevant legal/contracts experience required. 2-4 years of experience managing contracts or legal agreements. Experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, research, or university environment preferred. Experience drafting, reviewing, and managing legal agreements. Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Comfortable working with contract databases and enterprise business systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
