ASSOCIATE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
The Position Purpose
A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that helps communities recover after disasters and gets children back in school.
About the role
Full-time position responsible for overseeing and implementing the scopes of work in the recovery phase, managing construction subcontractors.
Reporting Relationships
- Reports to Construction Manager

Essential Functions
Support the Construction Manager to develop and monitor scopes of work and project queue, budget, timeline, and quality control.
Support the Construction Manager in hiring and managing contractors, ensuring their work is completed on time and meets quality standards.
Support the Construction Manager in quality control reviews by regularly visiting work sites and ensuring subcontractors adhere to established quality standards, including permits being pulled accordingly.
Maintain accurate tracking systems of progress/completion, technical reports in Salesforce and other databases.
Evaluate progress, compile detailed reports, and support the Construction Manager and program team in preparing program-specific reports for the organization.
Perform other duties as required.
Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent construction experience
Related Experience
- Must have project management and supervisory experience in a professional setting.
- Technical construction experience is required, and experience managing subcontractors is preferred.
- Previous All Hands and Hearts experience preferred.
Special Competencies/Certifications
- Good written and oral communication skills and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets; and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of MS project preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
- Constantly works in outdoor adverse weather conditions
- Frequently moves items weighing up to 40 lbs on work site or on base
- Frequently operates construction equipment (table saws, impact drivers, drills, and more)
- Frequently operates computer
- Frequently ascends/descends ladders and scaffolding

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position

Compensation & Benefits
Typical starting salary is $18.00-$19.00/ hour, and up to $20.00/ hour for highly qualified candidates who have previous experience in this role.
