About the role

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Configuration Analyst to join our team in Melbourne, Florida. This role involves planning and coordinating project documentation such as engineering drawings, production specifications, schedules, and contract modifications to meet customer contract requirements. You will review contracts to determine required documentation, analyze proposed product design changes, and coordinate modification records for management control. This position supports program configuration and data management requirements and may be filled at either the Associate Configuration Analyst or Configuration Analyst level.

This opportunity is contingent on program funding, with start dates determined after funding confirmation.

Responsibilities

  • Review contracts to determine documentation required for each project phase, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze proposed changes to product design to assess their effect on the overall product and system.
  • Coordinate modification records, establish change orders, and prepare change authorization and documentation for the company and subcontractors.
  • Review and analyze released engineering change data, coordinating changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.
  • Support program configuration and data management requirements.
  • Perform Technical Review Board and Configuration Control Board activities to support baseline activities (preferred).
  • Establish agendas, publish minutes, and track meeting actions (preferred).
  • Process change packages through their lifecycle, including disposition and documentation/hardware implementation (preferred).
  • Perform program data release functions via Product Lifecycle Management tools (preferred).
  • Manage data for deliverable CDRLs, non-CDRL documents, and SDRLs (preferred).

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance (final adjudicated) and any required program access within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

Associate Configuration Analyst:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of experience, or
  • Associate’s degree with 2 years of experience, or
  • 4 years of professional work experience in financial accounting, data management, system acquisitions, or a DoD/contracting environment, including independent decision-making and recommendations.

Configuration Analyst:

  • Master’s degree with 0 years of experience, or
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, or
  • Associate’s degree with 4 years of experience, or
  • 6 years of professional work experience in financial accounting, data management, system acquisitions, or a DoD/contracting environment, including independent decision-making and recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Knowledge of EIA-649 or MIL-HDBK-61A.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels of management.
  • Understanding of configuration management principles and best practices, including contract and supplier data management.

Pay

  • Associate Configuration Analyst: $54,400.00 – $81,600.00
  • Configuration Analyst: $65,500.00 – $98,300.00

Base salary offers consider factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
