Associate Clinical Specialist, Pain Interventions - Denver, CO

About the role
We are seeking a committed professional to join our Neuromodulation team, required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. This field-based position supports Neuromodulation Pain and Target Drug Delivery Therapies in surgical coverage, follow-up support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education. The primary territory is Denver, CO, with an additional opportunity in Grand Junction, CO. A valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance are essential, as this role involves significant travel within and occasionally outside the assigned territory.

Responsibilities
- Represent Medtronic during surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and products are available, providing technical support, device selection, and performing programming and testing of all device systems.
- Manage patients through all phases of the clinical process and educate them on the features and benefits of Medtronic products.
- Provide clinical support in surgeries, re-programmings, troubleshooting, and follow-ups in hospitals and clinics.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to technical inquiries from customers, patients, and colleagues.
- Maintain a working knowledge of competitive products.
- Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on products and therapies through one-on-one sessions, formal in-services, education programs, seminars, and symposia.
- Assist management and the Sales Training department in educating and training new employees in the district.
- Comply with required event reporting and documentation using Medtronic technology tools.
- Place orders with customer service for pending purchase orders and product replacement.
- Work with materials management to collect POs for cases covered within the territory/district.
- Manage inventory for case coverage, including timely transactions, maintaining cycle count accuracy, executing product retrievals, and ensuring no expired or on-hold products are implanted.
- Contribute to the achievement of quarterly goals at the district, regional, and/or national level.
- Partner with sales representatives to achieve business goals and document quarterly activities using provided business tools.
- Visit accounts to replenish literature and establish/maintain relationships with office staff.
- Effectively utilize Excel, mobile phone, iPad, laptop, and/or Samsung tablet regularly.
- Manage business expenses and budget effectively within the given timeframe.
- Ensure personal understanding of all applicable quality policy/system items.
- Complete all new hire therapy trainings and corporate compliance training as directed.
- Be flexible with schedule, including working outside normal business hours, weekends, and after-hours for clinical events.
- Travel to cover district cases as needed, occasionally to other districts at the discretion of the Clinical Manager.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or
- An Associate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Required to function using healthcare universal precautions to minimize exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
- Ability to serve as the primary resource for scheduled and unscheduled clinical events, including working weekends, evenings, nights, and overnight travel within the district or neighboring districts.
- Ability to work efficiently and autonomously with little direction outside of clinical events.
- Ability to attend national meetings, district meetings, and other training as requested.
- Ability to wear a 7-9 lbs protective lead apron for extended periods in the operating room.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 8+ hours per day.
- Ability to bend/stoop, squat, and balance frequently.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus related to travel and computer use.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, active vehicle insurance, and a driving record that meets Medtronic’s standards. Must be able to drive approximately 50% of the time within the assigned territory.
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Registered nurse or healthcare professional (HCP) with experience in a sterile environment.
- Clinical experience with implantable neurological products and patient care.
- Experience servicing medical personnel on product use.
- Experience with a medical device company or pharmaceutical company, and clinical experience in a specialty area: neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, operating room, pain management, or home health care.
- Understanding of basic reimbursement and the healthcare environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Pay
Salary ranges for U.S. locations (excluding Puerto Rico) are $64,000–$96,000 USD. The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. This position is also eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), providing the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding goals.
