Associate Clinical Professor
About the role
This position is for an inpatient Hospital Medicine faculty physician for Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory Decatur Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Devote between 1% and 25% of your total professional effort to scholarly activities.
- Participate in scholarship, including authorship of manuscripts, participation in research studies, abstract presentations, professional blogs, and other scholarly activities.
- Devote between 1% and 25% of your total professional effort to teaching.
- Occasionally conduct lectures, small group and bedside teaching, preceptorship, and mentorship.
- Perform the following duties as an inpatient Hospital Medicine physician on professional service:
- History and physical examinations of patients being admitted to the hospital.
- Assessing the acuity of hospitalized patients and ensuring a proper level of care.
- Bedside procedures as needed and credentialed for.
- Consultation services for specialty provider partners.
- Order consultations from specialty provider partners.
- Initiate contact with primary care providers and teams in the outpatient setting to ensure appropriate continuity of care.
- Work with trainees, which may include allied health professionals.
Requirements
You are expected to have completed residency training in Internal Medicine and be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine. You must also have completed a fellowship in Hospital Medicine or be able to complete one within two years of appointment.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
