Essential Functions
- Serve as the Lead Clinical Trainer, developing and delivering curriculum for RNs, MHPs, Treatment Assistants, and other clinical staff
- Ensure competency in crisis de-escalation and Tribal healing practices
- Support onboarding and ongoing competency development in crisis stabilization and trauma-informed care
- Provide clinical consultation and oversight to Treatment Assistant Shift Supervisors and Treatment Assistants
- Support safe and therapeutic unit operations
- Aid staff with implementing behavioral interventions and maintaining a structured therapeutic milieu
- Support Quality Management and Quality Improvement initiatives
- Assist with monitoring clinical outcomes, chart audits, and performance improvement activities
- Participate in incident reviews and quality assurance processes
- Provide clinical supervision and coaching to Treatment Assistant Shift Supervisors and Treatment Assistants
- Offer real-time coaching and performance guidance to support a high-retention, supportive workplace culture
- Support staff during behavioral incidents and provide guidance on crisis intervention and de-escalation
- Conduct 1:1 psychotherapy sessions
- Facilitate clinical groups
- Implement therapeutic activities that foster patient healing and wellness
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) expertise to develop individualized treatment plans for patients with complex behavioral needs
- Collaborate with Tribal leadership, traditional healers, and community representatives
- Integrate Tribal culture, values, and traditional healing practices into clinical programming, orientation, and training
- Demonstrate cultural humility when working with American Indian/Alaska Native patients and families
- Promote staff understanding of social and cultural contexts of the populations served
- Provide input on clinical budgets, staffing needs, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies (safety, infection control, confidentiality)
- Perform after-hours clinical consultation as needed for 24/7 operations
Requirements
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA or BCBA-D)
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related behavioral health field
- Current post-master's licensure required (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, Clinical Psychologist, or equivalent)
- Minimum four (4) years of progressive experience in a related field
