ASSOCIATE CLINICAL INFORMATICIST
About the role
The Associate Clinical Informaticist plays a crucial role in enhancing patient care through the integration of clinical data and information systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze clinical data to identify trends, improve patient safety, and enhance quality of care.
- Aid in the integration of data, information, and clinical knowledge for clinical staff using the electronic health record, supporting patient care decision-making.
- Collaborate with clinical staff, IT professionals, stakeholders, and management to enhance data-driven decision-making, ensure alignment with best practices, and translate clinical needs into technical requirements.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers, conduct workflow analyses, and recommend change management strategies.
- Maintain an entry-level cyber security knowledge necessary to securely perform job duties, maintain good customer service and responsiveness, and adhere to departmental processes for change control.
- Provide analysis, design, test scripts, or other supportive testing documentation, implementation, support, and auditing through clinical information systems and applications to improve workflow and patient outcomes.
- Train and support clinical staff on the use of information systems, technology tools, and organization application systems.
- Work flexible hours as required and on-call as needed.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Licensed Nurse in State of GA with minimum of Associates degree in Nursing preferred or other Healthcare related Clinical License.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare with no experience in Healthcare IT needed. Previous management experience preferred.

- Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Powerpoint knowledge preferred.
- Microsoft Office Visio knowledge preferred.
