About the role

This position is responsible for the drafting, design, development and documentation of patient specific implants, surgical plans, instruments and other projects. It involves working closely with clinical coordinators, other clinical designers, surgeons, sales consultants and marketing staff. The role requires managing multiple projects and ensuring on-time completion of designs. Additionally, it involves gathering and implementing process improvement feedback to drive continuous improvement of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Marketing, Product Development Engineers, surgeons, manufacturing and other team members to develop product requirements and concepts.
  • Interact directly with medical professionals to understand and develop customized surgical plans and product designs.
  • Exhibit capability in at least 1 Trumatch customized product lines.
  • Provide feedback and input on next-generation customized product line programs and processes.
  • Perform other special projects and functions as assigned.
  • Communicate business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • Ensure personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Entry level position.
  • Experience in the CAD design of mechanical products, including multi-component systems, preferably of customized medical devices is preferred.
  • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Drafting and Design (or equivalent professional experience) is preferred.

    • Possess strong organizational skills to support all aspects of the customized product line and process.
    • Excellent problem solving, decision-making, and root cause analysis skills in addition to interpersonal skills that foster conflict resolution as it relates to technical situations is required.
    • Demonstrated creative design ability.
    • Proficiency utilizing the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
