Associate Chief of Staff
About the Role
Hourglass Cosmetics is a vegan and cruelty-free beauty brand, redefining luxury cosmetics with high-performance products, innovative formulas, and award-winning franchises. The Associate Chief of Staff reports directly to the CEO and serves as a key strategic partner in driving the priorities and operations of the executive office. In this role, you will represent the CEO across the organization, leading cross-functional initiatives, managing executive communications, and ensuring strategic priorities are translated into actionable plans with clear timelines and accountability. As Hourglass continues to scale globally, this role is being created to accelerate execution across markets and business functions.
Responsibilities
- Represent the CEO across the organization to prioritize projects, build processes, manage timelines, and successfully execute strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with the CEO on Unilever reporting and communications, annual and quarterly planning, and resource allocation
- Attend cross-functional meetings to gather and synthesize information needed to support the CEO’s projects and initiatives
- Serve as a trusted liaison between the CEO and internal stakeholders, facilitating alignment and clear communication across teams
- Identify operational gaps and proactively build scalable processes and structures that support company growth
- Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and follow-up actions for executive meetings and key business reviews, including decision memos with clear problem statements, options, tradeoffs, and recommendations
- Develop and deliver executive-level presentations, Unilever reporting decks, and customer-facing materials, translating complex data into clear CEO-ready narratives
- Analyze retailer and customer performance data, synthesizing sell-through trends, KPI benchmarks, and market insights into actionable recommendations for the CEO
- Serve as the CEO’s proxy in managing relationships with market General Managers and regional leads, driving alignment on commercial priorities and strategic execution
- Partner with the CEO to translate annual and quarterly priorities into OKRs and performance scorecards; maintain a single source of truth on initiative status and proactively flag risks and dependencies
- Champion AI adoption across the organization, partnering with teams to source cross-functional use cases and quantify business impact for the CEO
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of high-caliber experience in finance, strategy, consulting, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field required
- Strong financial literacy and analytical skills; ability to build models, KPI frameworks, and executive-ready narratives from complex data sets; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate high-level executive vision into actionable, day-to-day operational priorities
- Stakeholder Management: Skilled at navigating complex interpersonal dynamics and balancing competing agendas across departments and teams
- Agility & Discretion: Ability to toggle between high-level strategic planning and operational firefighting, all while maintaining absolute confidentiality
- Advanced capabilities in project management and stakeholder communication; background in investment banking, consulting, or private equity a plus
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience preparing executive-level presentations and reports
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a high degree of professionalism and sound judgment
- MBA preferred; candidates with equivalent experience in investment banking, consulting, or private equity will be strongly considered
- Must be able to work from Corporate Office at least 60% of the time

Pay
The expected base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000 per year. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
