About the role
We design, manufacture, and supply best-in-class commercial walk-in coolers, freezers, and refrigeration equipment for the global foodservice market. As an Associate CAD Designer, you will complete basic-level design/drafting assignments by following prescribed procedures and standards. This position reports directly to the Design Engineering Manager and is based at our plant in Parsons, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Create submittal drawings using Inventor 3D software and/or AutoCAD 2D software.
- Evaluate quotes for accuracy and ensure they meet basic design standards; work with CSR accordingly.
- Use tracking software to log daily work completed.
- Make appropriate decisions using decision support tools and critical thinking.
- Clearly communicate results and underlying risks involved with your efforts.
- Work closely with CAD II and CAD III designers for advanced learning.
- Perform other relevant duties or tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of Inventor 3D design and/or AutoCAD 2D software.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office software.
- Ability to perform basic design drafting tasks via standard drawing techniques under close supervision.
- Basic knowledge of a variety of raw materials, including plastics, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Ability to read and use measuring devices; ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Completion of training required by the safety/training matrix within 6 months, or within time constraints set by regulations.
- Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by company policy for the job being performed.
