About the role
The Provost Office's Academic Finance oversees operational and strategic business matters for Academic Affairs, including fiscal and administrative management of academic operations. The Associate Business Manager will provide day-to-day support to higher-level business managers, SR business managers, or leaders as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Fiscal and budget administration
- Human resources management and planning
- Information technology
- Purchasing and facilities management
- Work with college deans and department leaders as requested
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; preference to finance and accounting areas
- One to three (1-3) years of meaningful relevant experience
- Understanding of University budget systems, financial processes, and accounting policies, or ability to acquire and apply this knowledge
Qualifications
- Software skills essential for job duties, including Microsoft Office Suite products with expert abilities in spreadsheet and database query
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and professional skills, including strong writing and editing abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain accuracy, and handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Proven problem-solving skills and effective decision-making abilities
