Position Summary

The position serves as a Supervisor, Classified, Transportation within the Budget Services department at the San Juan Unified School District. This role is part of the Confidential- Calendar 1 (12 Months/Year, 260 Days/Year, 5 days/Week, Professional Work Day) employment type.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the budgeting and financial management processes for transportation services.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations.
• Manage and maintain accurate records of transportation expenses and revenues.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement cost-saving measures.
• Respond to inquiries from staff and external parties regarding budget-related matters.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to school district finances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in budget preparation and financial management.
• Experience with budget software and financial analysis tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with financial management systems and databases.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
