Broker Responsibilities
- Sets new and expanding business opportunities through prospecting, networking, relationship building, and selling Mohr Corporate services to current client base.
- Leads the learning of the Mohr Partners model and perfects the sales pitch for cold calls and emails.
- Creates a lead list of prospective clients to call on using multiple databases.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date information in company databases.
- Provides tenants with pertinent information on leasing availability, current market conditions, and property values.
- Compiles property data for clients, such as tenant surveys, summary reports, maps, and status updates.
- Analyzes data and prepares real estate reports on average asking rents, tenants in the market, historical data, and market comparisons.
- Gathers and organizes materials necessary for transactions such as commission agreements, leases, and sales agreements.
- Participates and shadows senior brokers in contract negotiations and due diligence.
Broker Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university.
- Minimum 2+ years of work experience required.
- Real Estate Salesperson license preferred – will need license to be hired.
- Freight Brokerage / Sales Experience preferred.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Capacity to effectively present information and confidence to speak in front of groups.
- Knowledge of financial terms and principles.
Physical Requirements
- Involves work of a general office nature.
- Typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day and may involve periods of standing, such as operating at a copier/fax/scanner.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type.
- Able to speak clearly so others can understand you.
- Able to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing.
- Able to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understand.
- Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays.
