Broker Responsibilities

  • Sets new and expanding business opportunities through prospecting, networking, relationship building, and selling Mohr Corporate services to current client base.
  • Leads the learning of the Mohr Partners model and perfects the sales pitch for cold calls and emails.
  • Creates a lead list of prospective clients to call on using multiple databases.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date information in company databases.
  • Provides tenants with pertinent information on leasing availability, current market conditions, and property values.
  • Compiles property data for clients, such as tenant surveys, summary reports, maps, and status updates.
  • Analyzes data and prepares real estate reports on average asking rents, tenants in the market, historical data, and market comparisons.
  • Gathers and organizes materials necessary for transactions such as commission agreements, leases, and sales agreements.
  • Participates and shadows senior brokers in contract negotiations and due diligence.

Broker Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university.
  • Minimum 2+ years of work experience required.
  • Real Estate Salesperson license preferred – will need license to be hired.
  • Freight Brokerage / Sales Experience preferred.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Capacity to effectively present information and confidence to speak in front of groups.
  • Knowledge of financial terms and principles.

Physical Requirements

  • Involves work of a general office nature.
  • Typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day and may involve periods of standing, such as operating at a copier/fax/scanner.
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type.
  • Able to speak clearly so others can understand you.
  • Able to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing.
  • Able to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understand.
  • Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays.
