About the role

This role plays a vital role in bringing TD's human, relationship-driven banking experience to life. As a trusted guide for our clients, you will deliver everyday banking with accuracy, confidence, and clarity while helping clients feel informed, supported, and empowered to achieve their financial goals. You will uphold TD's strong risk and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, acting as the hospitality ambassador of the bank location while seamlessly guiding traffic flow and delivering a high-touch client experience.
  • Deliver accurate, efficient everyday banking transactions while deepening relationships by proactively identifying client needs and referring them to appropriate partners to help achieve their financial objectives.
  • Engage clients with professionalism, focusing on educating them about products and self-serve solutions, and using insights to recommend solutions that turn routine transactions into meaningful moments.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic banking products and services to evaluate and recommend client solutions using available tools and resources.
  • Perform a broad range of client transactions and multi-step activities within established financial limits.
  • Identify and assess client problems in straightforward situations using standard procedures; escalate non-standard issues internally.
  • Orchestrate the overall client experience by managing client flow (in-person and phone), resolving inquiries, and referring clients to appropriate partners.
  • Act as a hospitality ambassador, delivering consistent, relationship-driven client experiences aligned with TD’s service strategy.
  • Create personalized, client-first interactions to establish trust and strengthen ongoing relationships.
  • Balance client needs with sound judgment, policy adherence, and risk awareness to ensure compliant and responsible outcomes.
  • Proactively educate clients on banking products, services, and digital capabilities to enhance convenience and support financial well-being; connect them to specialists as needed.
  • Advocate for clients by demonstrating empathy, integrity, and a long-term perspective in all interactions.
  • Maintain compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations to minimize risk and protect clients.
  • Act as a trusted first point of contact in safeguarding the integrity of client relationships by adhering to AML laws and regulatory requirements, verifying client identification, and maintaining data integrity.
  • Identify potential discrepancies, material changes, or risk indicators and escalate appropriately in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Act in accordance with TD's code of conduct and ethical standards in every decision.
  • Complete required training and continuously strengthen risk and compliance knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by aligning with TD’s Model, Brand, and Culture as a fully participating team member.
  • Take accountability for outcomes and performance by engaging in development activities and sharing insights, lessons learned, and best practices across the team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of demonstrated experience working with clients (volunteering, education, or military experience included).
  • Teller or cash-handling experience in a client-facing or financial institution preferred.
  • Ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Ability to complete required job-related training upon hire.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent.
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to schedule and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Sound judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Notary License preferred.

Pay

$21.50 - $26.75 USD per hour. TD is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities. The base pay offered may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other business needs.

Schedule

20 hours per week. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
