Position Summary
Are you seeking to fill an exciting and rewarding position at the University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI)? We are currently accepting applications for a Associate Autonomy Engineer (3 openings) in our Applied Sensing division, based in the vibrant city of Dayton, Ohio!
About the Role
The Associate Autonomy Engineer will contribute to a dynamic and inclusive community that values excellence and innovation. UDRI is embarking on a new project involving developing a nonlinear feedback control law for fighter-type aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Explore the potential of a novel approach to generate desired complex UAV maneuvers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field
- Familiarity with Matlab
- Work involving controls engineering concepts
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Demonstrated ability to apply technical concepts discussed in academic papers or journals
- Demonstrated experience performing high-level research supporting DoD customers, including but not limited to AFRL
- Research involving flight dynamics or multi-UAV control
- Demonstrated, effective interpersonal skills
