Key Responsibilities

  • Program and integrate PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
  • Assist with system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting in the field
  • Support the design and documentation of automation solutions
  • Collaborate with clients and teammates to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Familiarity with PLC programming or logical thinking (ladder logic, function blocks, or scripting)
  • Understanding of basic industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and willingness to travel to client sites

Desired Skills

  • Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms (Ignition, Groov View, FactoryTalk, or similar)
  • Basic knowledge of industrial networking and cybersecurity principles
  • Exposure to motion control systems (motors, actuators, pneumatics)
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics or panel wiring
  • Internship or co-op experience in industrial automation

Work Environment

You’ll be part of a collaborative team where you’ll gain real responsibility from day one. This hybrid role combines office-based design work with hands-on implementation in the field. Travel to client sites for system commissioning and support is a core part of the role, giving you direct experience with real-world automation challenges.
