Associate Attorney - Workers Compensation

About the role

An established firm based in Iselin with over 30 years in practice is seeking an Associate with 3+ years of experience to join their team in a hybrid work arrangement. This Attorney will have experience with workers' compensation litigation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while representing clients in hearings, mediations, and advisory matters.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and maintain billable hours as necessary.
• Manage client relationships and a caseload with supervision and assist in the representation of clients in motion practice, conferences, mediations, and trial when necessary.

Qualifications

• A JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and maintain an active license in good standing in both New Jersey and New York.
• At least three years of workers' compensation experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software.
• A self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills, with the ability to work as a team member in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
