About the role

We are a consumer‑protection law firm based in New York City’s Financial District, representing consumers who have been harassed or deceived by creditors and debt collectors. With a growing practice, we offer the opportunity to develop a career rich in variety and challenges. The firm seeks a full‑time Associate Attorney to join its Ohio practice, handling both transactional and civil‑litigation matters in consumer protection. Communication with the New York headquarters will be conducted exclusively via telephone, e‑mail, and Microsoft Teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy, diversified caseload of the firm’s Ohio clients.
• Communicate with clients regarding their matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and review or draft agreements.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
• Conduct legal research on simple and complex issues in contract law and other consumer‑law areas.
• Travel for in‑court appearances as required.

Requirements

• Current admission to practice law in Ohio.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Superior organizational and time‑management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication abilities.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels.
• Strong legal research skills; proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.

Compensation

$90,000 per year.
