Associate Attorney, Toledo, Ohio

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our firm's practice in Ohio. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting legal documents, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to handle a heavy workload.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in Ohio.
• Communicate with clients regarding their respective matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, review and draft agreements, etc.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Conduct legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
• Travel for in-court appearances.

Requirements

• Currently admitted to practice law in Ohio.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and employees at all levels.
• Strong legal research skills -- proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.
