Duties And Responsibilities

  • Work exclusively with high net worth clients; those with taxable estates.
  • Prepare and suggest advanced estate planning alternatives, including: advanced wills and revocable trusts; gifts and sales to irrevocable grantor trusts; charitable trusts and foundations; grantor retained annuity trusts and qualified personal residence trusts.
  • Prepare, review, revise transfer tax returns, like Form 709 and Form 706; represent clients in IRS audits.
  • Conduct trust modifications by decanting, NJSA, and court action.
  • Delegate work to junior associates, supervise the same, and train associates and paralegals.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; LL.M. a plus, but not required.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Colorado Bar (or eligible for admission).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail a must.
