Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury defense matters, including discovery, motions, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Participate in strategy meetings, case evaluations, and settlement negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Mentor and collaborate with junior staff as needed.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
- 3–7 years of experience in personal injury defense litigation (4–10 years acceptable; product liability experience a plus but not mandatory).
- Strong trial, litigation, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to client service.
- Ability to travel is required.
