Associate Attorney, Hawaii

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our firm's practice in Hawaii. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting legal documents, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to handle a heavy workload.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in Hawaii
• Communicate with clients regarding their respective matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, review and draft agreements, etc.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims
• Conduct legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law
• Travel for in court appearances (while the role is based from home)

Requirements

• Currently admitted to practice law in Hawaii
• At least 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
• Superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization
• Strong legal research skills -- proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus
