Responsibilities
- Work in the national management-side Employment, Labor & Workforce Management (ELWM) practice.
- Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including investigations, interviewing witnesses, working with electronically stored information, drafting, preparing for or conducting and defending depositions, issuing and responding to subpoenas, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending court appearances.
- Provide advice and counsel on workplace law issues, including wage and hour, employee relations, mitigation of risk, ADA and other workplace accommodation, employment agreements, reductions-in-force, and employment-related policies.
Qualifications
- Three to five years of relevant labor and employment litigation experience.
- Knowledge of federal and Massachusetts labor & employment laws, including wage and hour, restrictive covenants/trade secret law, employment agreements, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and similar Massachusetts and federal laws.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent communication and writing skills.
- Admission to practice law in Massachusetts is mandatory.
- Former experience as a federal court law clerk is preferred.
Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $220,000- $260,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
