Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation - Wilmington

About the role

The civil litigation position offers a wide range of challenging litigation work, manages various phases of litigation for assigned cases, all phases of discovery, appears before state and federal courts, performs legal research, drafts pleadings, motions and briefs, conducts depositions, develops facts, makes legal arguments, reports case updates to managing attorney and clients in defense of our clients. This position will develop strategies for litigated matters, including commercial, regulatory, product liability, premises liability, motor vehicle negligence, personal injury, construction defect, professional liability, and insurance-coverage matters.

Responsibilities

• Manages various phases of litigation for assigned cases, all phases of discovery

Requirements

This position requires sitting for more than 2/3 of the time, ability to focus on a computer monitor for extended periods of time, a small amount of bending and reaching to access supplies and equipment, enough mobility to move from one area of the office to another at a moderate pace periodically, must be able to lift up to 10 pounds on occasion, work in an office environment with a modest level of noise, and perform tasks in an indoor setting.
