Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation

Responsibilities

• Defend consumers from cases brought by financial institutions
• Develop case strategies
• Manage and assist other attorneys with cases
• Jump in and help in various practice areas when necessary
• Creative problem-solving and learning new areas
• Oversee drafting, filing, and other case-related activities by our top-notch support team
• Look for violations of consumer protection laws such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Illinois Debt Settlement Consumer Protection Act (DSCPA), and Illinois Consumer Fraud Act (ICFA)
• Speak up and let us know how we can improve our litigation strategies, processes, workflow, or anything else
• Help us continue to build and grow the firm with your unique work and life experiences

Qualifications

• Ambitious, proactive, and likes to learn
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Strong writing skills
• Ability to manage their caseload while working with a team
• Ability to work and communicate clearly with support staff
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a team
• Positive, upbeat personality with a sense of humor

Pay

$80,000 - $95,000/year
