Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation
Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara, LLP, a mid-sized law firm recognized for six consecutive years in the U.S. News - Best Lawyers® 'Best Law Firms' rankings, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join our award-winning team.
About the role
As an integral member of our litigation team, you will handle your own caseload of litigation matters involving commercial, contract/business disputes, general liability, construction, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations. This role offers an excellent platform for professional growth, collaboration with team members, and mentorship from experienced partners.
Fully remote and hybrid options are available. Remote candidates must reside in Southern California.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pleadings, propound and respond to discovery, draft motions and legal briefs
- Take and defend depositions
- Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
- Appear in court
- Supervise law clerks and junior associates (preferred)
Requirements
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably handling matters involving general liability, construction, personal/catastrophic injury, contracts/business, and/or commercial disputes
- Current admission to the California State Bar
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Exceptional communication and advocacy skills with a client-focused mindset
- Arbitration and/or trial experience preferred, but not required

Pay
Expected base salary range: $145,000–$200,000 (actual compensation determined based on experience, excluding performance-based bonus).
