Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation

About the role

As an integral member of our litigation team, you will gain immediate hands-on experience handling a variety of litigation matters involving wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, breach of contract/business disputes, and more. From inception to resolution, you will handle every aspect of your cases including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions in court, attending mediations, and trial. You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations. This role offers an excellent platform for professional growth, collaborating closely with team members and mentored by experienced partners.

Fully remote and hybrid options are available depending on experience. Remote candidates must reside in Southern California.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pleadings, propound and respond to discovery, draft motions and legal briefs
• Take and defend depositions
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
• Appear in court
• Supervise law clerks and junior associates (preferred)

Requirements

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably handling matters involving general liability, construction, personal/catastrophic injury, contracts/business, and/or commercial disputes
• Current admission to the California State Bar
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Exceptional communication and advocacy skills with a client-focused mindset
• Arbitration and/or trial experience preferred, but not required

Pay

The expected base salary range is $115,000-$140,000, with actual compensation determined based on experience.
