About the Role

As an integral member of our litigation team, you will gain immediate hands-on experience handling a variety of litigation matters involving wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, breach of contract/business disputes, and more. From inception to resolution, you will handle every aspect of your cases including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions in court, attending mediations, and trial. You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations. This role offers an excellent platform for professional growth, collaboration with team members, and mentorship by experienced partners.

Fully remote and hybrid options are available. Remote candidates must reside in Northern California.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of civil litigation cases from inception to resolution
  • Develop legal strategy and conduct legal research
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs
  • Propound and respond to discovery
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
  • Appear in court and argue motions
  • Attend mediations and trials
  • Supervise law clerks and junior associates (a plus)

Requirements

  • 3+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably handling matters involving general liability, construction, personal/catastrophic injury, contracts/business, and/or commercial disputes
  • Current admission to the California State Bar
  • Experienced in preparing pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, drafting motions and legal briefs, taking and defending depositions, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, and appearing in court
  • Arbitration and/or trial experience preferred, but not required
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Pay

The expected base salary range is $145,000-$200,000, with actual compensation determined based on experience. This does not include the performance-based bonus plan.
