Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation

About the Role

Join our award-winning team in our Newport Beach headquarters as a Litigation Associate. You will gain immediate hands-on experience handling a variety of litigation matters, including wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, breach of contract, and business disputes. From inception to resolution, you will manage every aspect of your cases, including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions in court, attending mediations, and trial. This role offers collaboration with a diverse range of clients—individuals, businesses, and organizations—and provides mentorship from experienced partners for professional growth.

Fully remote and hybrid options are available. Remote candidates must reside in Southern California.

Requirements

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably handling matters involving general liability, construction, personal/catastrophic injury, contracts/business, and/or commercial disputes.
• Current admission to the California State Bar is required.
• Experienced in preparing pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, drafting motions and legal briefs, taking and defending depositions, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, and appearing in court.
• Arbitration and/or trial experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience supervising law clerks and junior associates is a plus.
• Exceptional communication and advocacy skills with a client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Pay

The expected base salary range is $145,000–$200,000, with actual compensation determined based on experience (excludes performance-based bonus plan).
