Associate Attorney, Boca Raton, FL

About the Role

We are a consumer protection law firm based in New York City, representing clients harassed or deceived by creditors and debt collectors. Our growing firm offers a dynamic and challenging environment for career development. We seek a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Florida practice, working remotely but in close communication with our New York headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a diverse caseload of Florida-based clients.
• Communicate with clients regarding their cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and review/draft agreements.
• Negotiate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
• Conduct legal research on contract law and consumer law issues.
• Travel for in-court appearances as needed.

Requirements

• Currently admitted to practice law in Florida.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Located within commutable distance or currently in Boca Raton, FL.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in legal research; LexisNexis experience is a plus.
