Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters in litigation.
- Draft complaints, motions, oppositions, mediation briefs, and other pleadings.
- Prepare and respond to written discovery.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Attend court hearings, case management conferences, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Develop case strategy, assess liability and damages, and identify evidentiary issues.
- Prepare clients for depositions, medical examinations, mediation, and trial.
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, experts, and medical providers.
- Negotiate settlements and provide clear recommendations regarding case value.
- Assist with pre-litigation matters when attorney involvement will help move a case toward resolution.
- Maintain accurate deadlines, case notes, and task management within the firm's case-management system.
- Assist with trial preparation and, depending on experience, participate directly in trial.
Qualifications
- Active member in good standing of the State Bar of California.
- At least one year of civil litigation experience preferred.
- Plaintiff-side personal injury experience strongly preferred.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and persuasive writing skills.
- Working knowledge of California civil procedure and discovery.
- Ability to independently manage deadlines and competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, client-focused approach.
- Comfortable taking ownership of assignments and following matters through completion.
- Deposition, mediation, arbitration, or trial experience is a plus.
- Spanish fluency is a plus but is not required.

Schedule and Location
Full-time position.
Monday through Friday.
Los Angeles, California.
