Associate Attorney

About the role

The Associate Attorney will support and manage a diverse caseload involving insurance coverage disputes and civil litigation matters. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent legal writing ability, and a proactive approach to case strategy and client service.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and assess coverage issues, including duty to defend and indemnify
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and coverage opinions
• Absorb all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Assist with complex insurance coverage and bad faith matters
• Communicate with clients, carriers, experts, and opposing counsel
• Participate in court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations as appropriate

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor JD from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law and in good standing or ability to obtain admission promptly
• Experience or demonstrated interest in insurance coverage litigation preferred
• Prior civil litigation experience strongly desired
• Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
• Professional judgment, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
