About the role
The Associate Attorney will support the defense of civil litigation matters across South Carolina. The ideal candidate is driven, detail-oriented, and eager to take ownership of cases while working closely with experienced Senior Attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses
- Provide effective legal counsel in the defense of civil disputes in South Carolina
- Handle diverse and challenging cases for retail and hospitality clients
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis
- Develop and implement litigation strategies aligned with client goals
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Collaborate with attorneys across the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions
- Contribute to the growth of the firm and expansion of its presence throughout South Carolina
- Write reports and develop budgets
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the South Carolina Bar
- Admission to the Federal District Court of South Carolina (preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of civil defense experience with a demonstrated track record defending civil matters
- Excellent analytical, writing, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service

Salary Range: $85,000–$110,000 DOE
